Clarity Act Fails Senate Vote As Regulators Move To Fill Gap

The Clarity Act failed to clear a Senate cloture vote, leaving regulators and lawmakers racing to fill the crypto oversight gap between the SEC and CFTC. According to BeInCrypto, Democrats objected to the bill’s ethics language, while Republicans revised the text hours before the vote to add state attorneys general to enforcement and keep federal enforcement inside the DOJ.
