Chutes: Full TEE Verification blocks legacy verification - 04 Aug 2026

Chutes announced Full TEE Verification, with every GPU node running inside a confidential VM verified by hardware attestation; the legacy non-TEE verification path is deprecated and blocked miner-side.Requiring hardware-attested confidential VMs across GPU nodes gives Chutes a clearer and more enforceable security posture. Blocking the fallback path means confidential execution is no longer an optional verification route, making the policy easier to apply consistently across the network. The removal of the legacy path also provides stronger evidence that confidential execution is becoming a required part of Chutes' operation.The announcement establishes enforced node configuration, but it does not by itself demonstrate broader user adoption or any resulting network effect.
