Canton: OpenZeppelin Stack goes live - 16 Aug 2026

OpenZeppelin's security standard is now live on Canton through a Daml contracts library supporting CIP-112 token and settlement logic, alongside four reference implementations for a privacy DEX, lending, confidential auctions, and crosschain stablecoin payments, according to Canton Network.The library gives Canton builders production-oriented components for token issuance, settlement, and financial applications, with security-focused implementation guidance. The reference designs show how the stack can be applied across several application types while reducing the need to build these patterns from scratch.Its availability may support ecosystem development and strengthen confidence in Canton-based applications, but the effect on CC depends on whether builders deploy the designs and users adopt the resulting products.
