Can Bitcoin price deliver an "Uptober"? Charts, catalysts to watch

Bitcoin is heading into "October" with traders watching one question: can the world's largest cryptocurrency turn its recent performance into a stronger Q4 rally?Bitcoin price traded at ~$83.2K on Monday, down 1.50% over 24 hours but still up 2.43% over the past week. Year to date, however, it remained down 5.06%.The pullback came as broader risk assets weakened, with oil climbing back above ~$100 after renewed .Bitcoin’s recent fall has also triggered significant forced selling. Its liquidations totaled $107.9M over the past 24 hours, according to the Coinglass chart. However, the asset closed the week at ~$84.46K on September 27, marking its highest weekly close in eight months. On the 30-minute weekly chart, the price has moved slightly above Bitcoin's 20 EMA at ~$83.2K but remains below the 50, 100, and 200 EMAs clustered around $84K.Meanwhile, momentum is improving, with the MACD histogram turning positive and RSI recovering to 47.8. Still, the asset needs to to strengthen the bullish setup.A move above ~$84K could put the ~$88K Bitcoin price prediction back in focus. On the downside, losing $82K could expose the ~$80K zone. The fundamentals backdrop is supporting the positive momentum. U.S. Bitcoin spot ETFs recorded $145.7M of net inflows today, while seven-day inflows reached $2.45B, their strongest weekly inflow since October 2025.According to Lookonchain, Ethereum ETFs also recorded $55.1M of daily inflows and $624.1M over the week.Importantly, Coinglass historical data also gives : The asset posted positive returns in 10 of the 13 Octobers from 2013 to 2025. But with only days left before the new month, “Uptober” is more a sentiment catalyst than an immediate price catalyst. With crypto liquidations, recent price weakness, Donald Trump’s rejection of Iran’s latest cease-fire, and higher oil prices, the asset could face a volatile start in the upcoming month before pushing higher.Content provided by Seeking Alpha is intended for information purposes only, and that Seeking Alpha does not offer any personalist investment advice and is not a licensed securities dealer, broker, US investment adviser or investment bank.
