Bitget Says All Withdrawal Requests Will Undergo Independent Verification as It Tightens Security

Crypto exchange Bitget is strengthening its security framework after a recent security incident, including by subjecting all withdrawal requests to an independent verification process.Wu Blockchain reported on September 28 that Bitget had overhauled access rights for highly sensitive systems and applied multi-approval procedures to core operations. The exchange said all withdrawal requests will undergo independent verification going forward.Bitget also plans to temporarily suspend the use of external security functions related to the incident until recovery work is complete.It added that it had discarded all existing credentials used in its internal systems and issued new ones.
