Bitcoin may be approaching a major turning point against U.S. equities as analysts point out that multiple higher-time-frame indicators point to a bottoming process. Will BTC Bottom Against TradFi?In a podcast on Aug. 17, analyst Kev Capital focused on Bitcoin’s performance relative to the Invesco QQQ Trust ), which tracks the Nasdaq 100."Bitcoin is bottoming against the QQQ," the analyst said, adding that similar bottoming behavior is developing against the S&P 500, gold and silver.Bitcoin has been in a sustained downtrend against QQQ since around July 2025, but Kev highlighted a major support region between the 0.703 and 0.786 Fibonacci retracement levels. The zone overlaps with levels that played an important role during and after the 2022 bear market. It is repeatedly acting as support and resistance before Bitcoin eventually broke higher relative to QQQ in late 2023.Kev expects Bitcoin to establish a relative bottom against QQQ and other major assets within the next four to 12 weeks, potentially beginning a new uptrend by the end of 2026 or early 2027.He is also watching Bitcoin’s U.S. dollar chart and USDT dominance, arguing that BTC is displaying bottoming characteristics while stablecoin dominance is showing signs of a potential top.Revealing his personal investments, Kev said he is actively accumulating BTC and plans to continue buying through the end of the year.He may still change his plan if Bitcoin experiences a significant breakout and achieves what he called "escape velocity" from the current bear market structure. Are 2022 Bottom Signals Returning?Kev pointed to several two-week indicators that he believes support the bottoming thesis:Momentum waves are forming higher lows, like the structure seen around the 2022 bear market bottom. Whale money flow is showing early signs of improvement as well, which Kev interpreted as large investors gradually rotating back toward Bitcoin relative to high-beta technology stocks. The BTC/QQQ two-week Relative Strength Index has fallen toward 30, which the analyst described as its lowest reading on record. He argued that current macro conditions could also be more supportive than in 2022 which was characterized by improving global liquidity and the absence of the aggressive monetary tightening."The bottom is already either in or it’s very, very close to being in," Kev said.Image: Shutterstock
