Bitcoin Tops $77,000, Enjoys Best Week Since 2024 — WSJ

The cryptocurrency as of 4 p.m. ET was 6% higher at $77,006; earlier this morning it nearly got as high as $80,000 for the first time since May.The cryptocurrency's price rose 22% this week, its strongest weekly performance since March 2024.Trump ignited demand for bitcoin on Wednesday by urging Congress to pass legislation desired by the digital-currency industry. The cryptocurrency also tends to rise when fears mount about the U.S. fiscal situation, as they have this week.
