By Exbasi Intelligence

Bitcoin edges lower due to increased expectations of the U.S. Federal Reserve raising interest rates in the coming months. Fed Chairman Kevin Warsh last week said that inflation risks remain and that the Fed is prepared to take action to contain them. Markets increase rate-hike expectations as a result and now price a 65% possibility of the Fed raising rates on Sept. 16. Bitcoin falls 0.1% to 78,746, remaining below the key $80,000 level, LSEG data show. ([email protected])
