Bitcoin Core Developer Murch Proposes Removing Luke Dashjr as BIP Editor

Bitcoin Core developer Murch has proposed removing Luke Dashjr from his BIP editor role on X. According to Odaily, Murch said Dashjr participated in BIP-110 and accused him of inconsistently using editor privileges, including assigning a BIP number to the proposal in advance and quickly merging updates despite contributing less to BIP editor work in recent years.Murch also said there were problems in trust, communication, and coordination between Dashjr and other BIP editors. He added that Dashjr's support for a contentious soft fork that could evolve into a hard fork represented a complete departure from the Bitcoin development ecosystem.
