The BIP-110 branch split from the Bitcoin mainnet at block height 961,632 on August 8, and the Roughnecks mining pool mined only four blocks in the following seven days, leaving on-chain progress at 961,635. According to Odaily, supporters plan to switch the proof-of-work hash function from SHA-256 to Blake2b as early as September, which would require changes to block header validation and upgrades to mining pools, wallets, block explorers, and indexing tools.The forked coin has not received exchange support and has no market price. More than 400,000 transfers are waiting for confirmation, and many were created unintentionally by users because the fork lacks replay protection. Tokens mined by Roughnecks must receive 100 confirmations before they can be used.
