According to the announcement from Binance, the platform will launch an airdrop campaign for eligible users who hold Ripple USD (RLUSD) starting from 2026-08-14 00:00 (UTC). The campaign will run until 2026-09-11 00:00 (UTC), and eligible users will share rewards from a prize pool of 1 million XRP tokens. Rewards will be distributed as weekly XRP airdrops to RLUSD holders every Friday, with the first distribution scheduled for 2026-08-21. Binance said users must hold at least 0.01 RLUSD in eligible Earn or Margin Accounts to qualify, and they must also maintain an average daily Margin or Futures trading volume of at least $500 on any trading pairs during the Reward Period. The announcement states that RLUSD held in Earn Account Flexible Savings and in Margin Account categories such as Cross Margin, Isolated Margin, or Portfolio Margin can be included in the calculation. Binance also noted that rewards will be sent directly to eligible users’ Spot Accounts under their Binance master accounts, and that weekly distributions will continue throughout the Campaign Period. The first four weekly reward periods are set around 2026-08-21, 2026-08-28, 2026-09-04, and 2026-09-11, with the effective APR and XRP token value to be updated for each distribution date. The campaign’s reward calculation is based on the lowest RLUSD balance recorded across hourly snapshots each day, with weekly rewards derived from the 7-day average of the qualifying balance and the effective APR on the distribution day. Binance explained that RLUSD acquired by borrowing other stablecoins will receive a 60% haircut after liabilities are accounted for in Margin Accounts, including USDT, USDC, U, USD1, and FDUSD. The announcement also said rewards are rounded down to 2 decimal places, there is no individual cap on rewards, and sub-account balances and trading volume are aggregated at the master account level. Broker accounts are eligible, with rewards distributed to virtual sub-accounts. Binance added that users must complete KYC and be in an eligible jurisdiction, while residents of several listed countries and regions, including the United States of America and its territories, will not be able to participate in the RLUSD campaign.
