Ansem Says Time Is a Key Risk-Management Factor in Short-Term Trading

Crypto trader Ansem shared his approach to managing risk in short-term trades. According to ChainCatcher, he said traders should consider time—not just price and stop-loss levels—when assessing whether a trade is working. When he enters a trade, he expects a clear market move to develop quickly; if Bitcoin stays near his entry price for an extended period without moving as anticipated, he reassesses the trade. He may exit early if the expected move fails to materialize, even if his stop-loss has not been triggered. Ansem said short-term trading can help traders identify sooner whether a strategy is working, and that deciding whether to hold a trade should take into account how long the market takes to meet expectations as well as its price action.
