Adam Back Criticizes BIP-110 Supporters Over Bitcoin Spam Claims

Blockstream CEO Adam Back criticized arguments from BIP-110 supporters, saying the claim that Bitcoin supports spam is false and that all Bitcoin participants dislike network spam. According to ChainCatcher, he said Bitcoin cannot achieve absolute censorship at the mathematical level, while BIP-110 has multiple flaws, cannot work effectively, and has not gained network consensus.Back also said forcing a rule change without consensus could ultimately lead to a split similar to Bitcoin SV. BIP-110 had previously sparked community controversy because it seeks to restrict non-financial data storage on the Bitcoin blockchain. Supporters plan to push the change through a user-activated soft fork, but miner support is still far below the activation threshold.
