Top Cryptocurrencies Rise; Bitcoin Tops $108,000 Level

Major digital assets rose Monday, with Bitcoin (BTC/USD) topping the $108,000 level. The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, rose 3.3% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 rose 1.4%, the S&P 500 advanced 0.9%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 0.7%. Bitcoin gained 3.2% at $108,578, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume surged 43.3% to $49.47 billion. Ethereum (ETH/USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, gained 4.8% to $2,658. XRP (XRP/USD) surged 7.9%, BNB (BNB/USD) rose 1.9%, and Solana (SOL/USD) advanced 3.5%. Dogecoin (DOGE/USD) gained 3.7%, and Cardano (ADA/USD) was up 4%. The US 10-year Treasury yield stood at 4.450% at 3 p.m. ET Monday, up from 4.420% Friday, while the five-year yield rose to 4.033% from 4.019%. The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry rose 3.3% in the past 24 hours to $3.39 trillion with trading volume up 50.4% to $115.67 billion.
