Thailand should boost digital asset innovation, says finance minister
Thailand's government supports use of asset-backed cryptocurrency tokens and should focus on digital asset innovation and investor protection, its finance minister said on Thursday.Minister Pichai Chunhavajira in a speech at the Securities and Exchange Commission said there should be more innovation and higher standards in the area. He also said the government would propose a digital asset "sandbox" on the popular tourist island of Phuket.
